Happy Friday! I have to be honest – Halloween isn’t my favorite. Actually, it’s my least favorite holiday. (However, I do expect to see some adorable pictures of my niece and nephew dressed up tomorrow.) And with that being said, we have no crazy plans for Halloween. Tonight we’re cheering on the Pirates with friends and I’m really excited about the menu that I put together (two words: biscuit bar). I have lots of prepping to be done so that the party is as stress-free as possible for this gal. OH – and don’t forget that you get an extra hour of sleep on Saturday night/Sunday morning. In honor of the season, here are my Friday Favorites – PUMPKIN EVERYTHING EDITION.
Favorite Breakfast: Pumpkin Everything Bagels. That topping looks incredible: dried onion, dried garlic, poppy seeds, and sea salt. All that’s missing is a good helping of cream cheese.
Favorite Carbalicious: Pumpkin and Pork Cheesy Stuffed Shells. Comforting and full of fall flavors. Someone pour me a glass of Pinot, please.
Favorite One Bite: Pumpkin Spice Latte Truffles. These sounds dangerously delicious.
Favorite Brunch: Yeasted Pumpkin Waffles with Candied Ginger. Waffles are one of my favorite things on the planet. Candied ginger is pretty near and dear to my heart, too. Let’s be lazy and dig in.
Favorite Flavors: Thai Pumpkin Curry with Shrimp and Bok Choy. Take-out, fake-out.
Favorite Slice: Pumpkin Flatbread with Gruyere and Crispy Sage. When’s our next Pizza Sunday?
Favorite Dainty: Pumpkin Spice French Macarons. Almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
Favorite Spoonful: Coconut-Curry Pumpkin Soup with Toasted Pepitas. A piping hot bowl of this soup and a hunk of crusty bed would be the perfect cold weather dinner.
Favorite Mouthful: Creamy Pumpkin and Chorizo Pasta Bake with Mascarpone-Sage Sauce and Toasted Hazelnuts. Pure comfort food.
Favorite Cocktail: Pumpkin Pie Martini. Because every Friday deserves a stiff drink.
and Go Pirates!
