Friday Favorites

It’s Friday, November 28th and I will now allow you to put up your Christmas decorations without rolling my eyes.  I just couldn’t give in to the worldly ways of brushing off Thanksgiving.  So if you’ve posted any Christmas-related pictures on Instagram or Facebook, I’ve kindly scrolled past them without a “like.”  I know, I’m childish.

But because Christmas is my absolute, hands-down, most favorite time of the year, I am proudly listening to my Christina Aguilera Christmas CD from 2001 on repeat.  It’s an all-time favorite.

So whether you’re out and about fighting the Black Friday crazies or still enjoying “family time” (like I am), here are my Friday Favorites!

Favorite Simmer:  Let’s Make the House Smell Like Christmas.  Warm and cozy.  This is what Christmas smells like.

Favorite Read:  15 Things Everybody Should Start Making Time For Each Day.  “There is joy in simply being.”

Favorite Handful:  Mom’s Secret Christmas Eve Chex Mix. I love a good snack mix and this salty combo sounds incredibly addicting.

Favorite Sparkle:  Totally over-the-top and flashy but how amazing are these pants?  {by the way, I am not a fan of the top half of this outfit – in case you were wondering}

Favorite Cookie for Santa:  The Best Chewy Cafe-Style Chocolate Chip Cookies.  Best served warm and with a glass of milk.

Favorite Wake-up:  Gingerbread Muffins.    Puffy and warm, these muffins would be perfect to have around the house during the holidays for when you have house guests.

Favorite Small Bite:  Goat Cheese Poppers with Honey.  Why wouldn’t I want fried goat cheese as an appetizer?

Favorite Punch:  Cranberry Cider Punch.  Except I’d have to add booze.  Perhaps some rum.  And I couldn’t call it “punch” if I made it around my Dad.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
