We were originally supposed to have guests in town this past weekend. Armed with my menu and ingredients, I was going to bake a chocolate bundt cake. Unfortunately, our guests had to cancel (although we missed them dearly). We had already completed our shopping for the weekend, so I continued on, baking and cooking everything I had originally planned. Including the chocolate cake.
I picked this recipe because it utilizes a few ingredients that don’t need prepping. For example, a boxed mix is used as the base instead of sugar and flour. When I’m cooking multiple recipes, I don’t mind a little help wherever I can get it.
Once all the ingredients are mixed together (notice the only change I made was using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream) the cake is baked to perfection.
I’ve become obsessed with bundt cakes. They always turn out looking pretty.
Did you know that the bundt pan was made popular in the U.S. in the ’50s and ’60s. So retro.
Every time I hear the word bundt cake I can’t help but think of the movie “Just Friends.” Kat is probably the only one that understands.
Anyways, back to the cake.
