Spinach and artichoke dip is a go-to favorite as an appetizer for parties. But most recipes call for lots of mayo and sour cream in this rich dip.
This recipe was first seen in Cooking Light in 2000 and was recently re-published because it’s a favorite. After trying the Best Ever Spinach and Artichoke Dip, I think it could be published again.
It’s creamy on the inside with a delicious cheese “crust” on the outside. And the best part – no mayo. But no one will know unless you tell them.
Not the most photogenic dip, but what can you do? The recipe combines sour cream (I used fat-free Greek yogurt), pepper, garlic, cream cheese, spinach and artichokes plus two types of cheese to make this totally addictive.
Serve with cut up veggies, crackers or tortilla chips.
