I didn’t think I needed anything other than Plan A. But I was wrong.
Just when I thought everything was going so smoothly in the wedding arena, we get thrown a curve ball. The band has booked another wedding.
{silence}
I’m not going to rant and rave (I’m pretty sure Big Guy did enough of that for the both of us) but I will say that I’m highly disappointed in the professionalism of a band that has such a high reputation.
In a nut shell, they never received our check but never returned any of our multiple attempts to contact them. And they booked someone else. Thanks for nothing.
Now we’re trying to find a band that will meet the expectations that we had set. And we had set the bar high (though I’m praying that this is a blessing in disguise). And another curve ball, our wedding happens to fall on the same day as a beach music festival.
So onto plan B. Not that we had a plan B. But Big Guy is doing all he can to find a band that will be just as fantastic as the one we thought we had.
I’m trying not to sweat it because in the end we’ll still get married – regardless of the band. It’s just frustrating.
Hopefully next Wednesday we’ll have some good news.
Emily, the important thing is that you and Chris love each other and are getting married. Those who love you will be there to celebrate regardless of who/what the band is. Or if there’s not a band! It don’t matter none!!! (Grammer went to pot there). Get that worry off your shoulders and out of your head!

Hopefully you are right and it is a blessing in disguise…I would offer to sing at the wedding but trust me you, Big Guy or no one else for that matter would want that! I am the ONLY one that thinks I should like Maria Carey (hahaha…ONLY in my private setting of course)….if nothing else I hope you giggled and/or thought “she’s a flippin’ nut”!!!

Wow, I can only image the reaction my Big Guy had to this “double booking” of a professional band. In my heart, I know everything will be alright. Your love is strong and all that matters is that you two will be married on April 27, 2013. Something bigger and better is in the plan. Love you Sweetheart!!
